STEVE *****
Oh yes, one more thing….
Watching the interplay between the Higgins and Pickering characters, I was reminded of another famous fictional double act…. Is the company considering casting Toby Burchell and Henry R Pyne as Holmes and Watson? I think we should be told!
Playing Carlos in Women On The Verge Of a Nervous Breakdown was an absolute joy! It thoroughly stretched me as an actor , singer and mover. It was brilliant working alongside such driven , talented and ambitious people. Furthermore it was wonderful to receive direction from Eva Sampson and musical direction from Pete Mitchell.
Edinburgh Fringe '22 , The Importance Of Being Earnest.
This project is definitely one I'll never forget. Beginning at Malvern Theatres and in just 2 weeks developing and performing Oscar Wilde's great Edwardian comedy was an absolute joy.
Having the opportunity to take this work to the Fringe was just incredible and the experiences we had as a company were second to none!
Playing the role of Algernon Moncrieff was challenging for me as an actor. To apply everything I had learned thus far and embody a man completely obsessed with class and status was a fantastic task that really stretched me. Algernon is also a role I would definitely like to reprise.
Reviews from the malvern theatres run: Observer
Henry Pyne was at the top of his game as Algernon Moncrieff – everything flowed in near perfect characterisation.
This project was an absolute dream to be a part of and kept me going during lockdown for 4 and a half months. Not only was it a fantastic experience and a masterclass in acting for the camera, but Sex Education Series 2 and 3 are now streaming on Netflix!
Performed at BEAM2021 at Hackney Empire
This was a brilliant opportunity that I was asked to perform in. Patrick Steed composed a new musical called Cooper's Hill Cheese Rolling & Wake.
He approached me via my performance account on Instagram @hpsingingactingofficial_ and asked if I would take part as due to the coronavirus they needed an extra actor. I was delighted and said, of course, I would. The chance to perform on such an amazing stage was one thing. In addition to this, it was a great networking event where I met writers, composers producers, and other fellow actors, who were all so talented. I look forward to hopefully taking part in the future.
